It's a shocking result on multiple level. A winner of each of his first five UFC fights, all via stoppage, Silva entered as a -250 favorite over Lopes. Then he found himself mounted just moments into the fight and was supremely lucky to survive Round 1. Silva seemed to get back on track in Round 2 and was pulling ahead on points, at which time Lopes cracked him with a spinning shot which sent him sprawling to the mat and eventually resulted in referee Mike Beltran stepping in.
